The story really began in 1963 when we married.  The Gayville affix was born and registered with the Kennel Club in 1968.  Our breeding and showing began professionally in 1972, the very first "G"Force litter produced the C.C winners Gayville's Ambition and Alicanti.

To our credit the "G"Force has produced 12 UK Champions and 12 Overseas Champions, the crowning glory our lovely Gayville's Nilo the Breed Record Holder with 52 Challenge Certificates in addition his International title with 4 C.A.C.I.B's under FCI rules, also his Irish title and twice the winner of the National in 1996 & 2000, Nilo was also Top G.S.D for 6 consecutive years from 1996 including annual Irish Champion in 1997.  His Mother Gayville's Xera had 20 Challenge Certificates and also won the National twice in 1993 and 1995.  Nilo's great grandson Nasko is currently winning well with 15 Challenge Certificates and also the winner of the National in 2008.

The "G" Force has now produced 4 Shepherds who have qualified SchH1 or 2 and Korklasse 1 namely

G. Italia, Varina vom Gayville, G. Vima and G. Zora.

Over the years we have imported 15 animals, however the major successes came through Cello von Aschera and Ronnie von der Berghutte

My Judging involves 30 years at open level and 22 years Championship level, including the 2-day National in 2004.  My oversesas Judging began in 1989 with North Island and South Island of New Zealand, East Africa 1991 & 2000, Jamaica, Eire and Poland. 

Other claims to fame:-

  •  35 years with the North Eastern German Shepherd Dog Club
  •  17 years as Treasurer
  • 23 years as a Tattooist for the National Dog Tattoo Registry
  • 12 year as Breed Surveyor for the Breed Council
  • On the Working Party of the British Sieger organisation since its innauguration

Joan's Judging involves 28 years at open show level, 16 years at Championship level, overseas judging includes South Island, New Zealand and Eire.  Jointly we have over 90 years experience and knowledge of the German Shepherd Dog.

Samantha our Granddaughter joined the team in 2003, the third generation to contribute to the success of the world renowned kennel, she started her Open show Judging in 2008, also one of our Best Handlers.
